Here at Burnaby South, all grade 11 students will be writing the new provincial numeracy assessment later this month. For students in my Pre-Calculus 11 classes, we will be doing some practice questions during the last week of classes. The assessment itself will be written on Tuesday, June 26. The schedule is as follows:
Last names beginning with A to L (inclusive): 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (please arrive by 8:45 am)
Last names beginning with M to Z (inclusive): 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm (please arrive by 12:45 pm)
When you arrive for your assessment, you will be directed to the proper location.
If you miss the assessment this year, it is your responsibility to arrange to write it during the next school year. The provincial numeracy assessment is a graduation requirement. This means that if you don't write the assessment, then you can't graduate.
In addition, there will be a "practice numeracy assessment" on Friday, June 22 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in the library. What else are you going to do the day after the last day of classes?
